The Tony Open is the longest-running continuous Golf fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in the United States. This meaningful event has raised over $2.5 Million in 39 years. 2016 will undoubtedly be a record-setting year. After the tournament in 2013, the American Cancer Society restructured their personnel resources and many ACS tournaments were unable to continue without direct Human Resources support from the American Cancer Society. Not willing to give up the fight, the Jackson, Michigan community was undeterred by this challenge.
The Tony Open quickly rebuilt its committee with a championship caliber team and formed its own 501(c)3. The very next year, we were able to expand and become a major contributor to the local Gayle M. Jacob Cancer Center at Allegiance Health, continue as a significant contributor to the American Cancer Society through annual gifts to the Jackson Relay for Life and also contribute to Mott Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan. Thank you for supporting the National Fight against Cancer, from the Fairways of Jackson, Michigan.
